Wooden Bar Stools
Wooden bar stools can connect a kitchen island with timber flooring, shelving or a dining table. Choose the colour and silhouette you like, then read which parts are actually wood. This matters just as much for a painted design as it does for a visible timber finish.

About Wooden Bar Stools
Look past the word wooden
The Nico white set of two lists a PP plastic seat, plywood legs and a coated-metal footrest. The Conrad light-grey pair lists a plywood frame with a fabric seat. These are different constructions, even though both appear in the wooden collection. Neither example establishes that every part of every stool is solid timber.
Compare the shape around your bench
A curved backrest sits above the bench line; a smaller seat can create a less enclosed outline. Check the full width and depth as well as seat height. Nico lists a 67cm seat height and Conrad lists 66cm, giving you specific measurements to compare with your own space.

Choose contrast or continuity
Repeat an existing timber tone, or use a painted seat or darker frame to introduce contrast. For a different texture, compare rattan and wicker-look stools. For designs with a stronger visible frame, explore metal bar stools, checking the seat material in each case.
Care for the actual finish
Follow the product’s cleaning instructions rather than treating all wooden-looking surfaces alike. Upholstery, paint and timber components can require different care. Return to the bar stool overview if you want to compare other materials before choosing.
Questions about wooden bar stools
Does wooden mean solid timber throughout?
No. Check each component. Plywood, plastic, metal and upholstery can form part of a wooden-style stool, as the Nico and Conrad examples show.
Will a wood-colour name match my cabinetry exactly?
Use the named finish and photographs as comparison points, rather than assuming an exact match. Compare the product specification and available images before committing to a coordinated set.
