Dining Furniture
Build a dining area around the space you have and the pieces you want to keep. You can start with a table, replace the chairs around an existing one, or compare a complete set. In each case, check the dimensions of the arrangement as well as its finish.

About Dining Furniture
Start with the piece that sets the layout
If the room is empty, shortlist dining tables by footprint and base placement. If you already have a table, measure its underside and the gap between its legs before choosing dining chairs. Include arm height where relevant.
Decide between a set and separate choices
Dining sets let you assess a stated combination of table and seating. Separate pieces give you another way to choose materials and dimensions, but need the same compatibility checks. Read the component list so you know whether the seating uses chairs, benches or another configuration.

Connect the materials without overlooking care
Choose a finish that works with the floor, cabinetry or nearby seating. Read the construction of the table and chairs separately; a similar timber tone does not mean identical materials. Follow the care instructions for each component, particularly where upholstery and finished wood meet.
Questions about dining furniture
Where should I begin if I am replacing only the chairs?
Measure the existing table’s underside, leg spacing and available floor area. Use those dimensions to shortlist chairs before comparing the colour and upholstery.
