Counter Stools

Choose counter stools by their actual seat height. For a 90 cm kitchen bench, start by comparing seats around 60–65 cm, then check knee clearance beneath the top and any supporting rail. Our range includes fixed-seat and adjustable models, so check the measurements for the exact product.

About Counter Stools

Match the seat to your bench

Bench top height Starting seat-height range
85 cm 55–60 cm
90 cm 60–65 cm
95 cm 65–70 cm

These are starting ranges using a 25–30 cm seat-to-top gap. Separately check the underside and the stool’s base, back and arms. Use the bar stool height guide and calculator before choosing.

Compare more than the height

Check the backrest, footrest, seat width and complete footprint. A low back may fit a different layout from a high back, and a swivel seat needs room to turn. Read the listed package quantity so the number of seats matches your plan.

Fixed height or adjustable?

A fixed-height stool has one seat level. An adjustable stool must have a stated seat range that suits your bench. Levelling feet are different from seat-height adjustment. Compare adjustable and gas-lift stools if you need a range of seat positions.

Counter-stool questions

Is a 65 cm stool suitable for every kitchen bench?

No. It leaves 25 cm to the top of a 90 cm bench, but you still need to check the underside, footrest, arms and the sitter’s clearance.

Should I use the overall height?

Use the seat height for the bench comparison. Overall height includes the backrest. If the seat measurement is not separately labelled, ask us to confirm it.
