Dining Chairs

Choose dining chairs with the table in view. Seat height, armrests and the space between table legs all affect the fit, while upholstery and frame finishes connect the setting with the rest of the room. Compare the complete chair before deciding how many you need.

About Dining Chairs

Measure beneath the table

Check the underside of the tabletop and any apron, then compare the chair’s seat and arm heights. The Lisse red set of four, for example, lists a 47cm seat height and 54cm arm height. Both measurements can matter when planning how a chair slides underneath. If you are replacing the table too, compare dining tables alongside the chairs.

Look at the overall footprint

Seat width and overall chair width may differ. Allow space for pulling chairs back and moving behind occupied seats, especially at the ends of a rectangular table. A backrest’s height also changes how much of the chair remains visible above the tabletop.

Compare materials and pack contents

Read the upholstery and leg specifications separately. The Lisse example lists velvet upholstery and rubberwood legs; that combination does not describe every chair. Check whether the selected listing contains one chair or a set. Explore dining sets if you prefer to assess a table and seating package together, or return to dining furniture for the wider plan.

Questions about dining chairs

Will dining chair arms fit under my table?

Compare the stated arm height with the lowest part of the table opening, including the apron. Also check whether the legs and arm width allow the chair to slide between the table supports.

Does a photograph of four chairs mean four are included?

Use the selected listing’s package contents to confirm quantity. Styled images and a product family’s other pack options should not replace that check.
